Louisiana Fatality Linked to Defective Takata Airbag Inflators

Sadly, Honda North America and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration have confirmed that a Louisiana driver of a 2004 Honda Civic died as the result of a defective Takata airbag inflator. The vehicle was subject to a massive recall. According to NHTSA, approximately 34 million vehicles are currently under recall for approximately 46 million defective Takata air bags that can explode when the air bag deploys, causing serious injury or even death. All vehicle owners should check the NHTSA VIN lookup website to determine if their vehicles are subject to this or any other recall.
